THE PLOT:

The story begins the day Valcom meets Aquatron in the holding area of the repair center. Val for short and Aqua for short. They stand talking for days until they decide that they want to see what was out those walls, and with a malfunctioning comedy robot named Catskill.

The three "borrow" a fan from the center and go out on their journey. But when the news get out that their missing, they get pursued by two techs and a prototype anti-crime unit who thinks shoot first and then interagate.

Can Val and Aqua be together, for they have fallen in love or will the Crimebuster Deluxe 2000 send them all to the great repair center in the sky?

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Okay, where to begin. Did you know that the part of the lead robots were offered to famous mime team Shields and Arnez? Bet ya didn't. But they turned it down complaining about robot make-up. Then they faded off into obscurity. Now, this movie has everything. A crazed killer robot who thinks he's dirty Harry. Lots of cool robots. It's funny, it's touching, it's the perfect date movie for people who love sci-fi and romantic comedies. It's the first robot romantic comedy. Now of course very few movies are perfect and there are some character issues. But there are very minor and can be overlooked. I think couples will enjoy this movie and will want to watch it over and over again. 9 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I have to agree with Zedd on this one. Heartbeeps is a real charmer and I loved it. I was a teenager at the time and I took my little brother to it. He's crazy about robot movies. Anyway, if you prefer you robot movies with crazed killer robots, then this isn't the movie for you. I don't know what movie it went up against and lost too. But in my opinion, HEARTBEEPS is a buried treasure that needs to be discovered. 9 STARS as well.

+ CAST (The cast does a bang up job in this romantic comedy.)
+ STORY (The story works, very well.)
+ ACTING (The cast does a great acting job.)
+ MAKE UP (The make up effects were perfect)
+ ROBOTS (Plenty of cool robots.)

- MINOR CHARACTER ISSUES (There are some minor character issues.)
