THE PLOT:
While spelunking in an previously unexplored cave a group finds a Troglodyte still alive, but only one of the group escapes
the cave alive.
Dr. Brockton a scientist is out to capture the Troglodyte in order to study it, but there are members of the community
who would rather see the living fossil dead then studied, someone me thinks wants revenge for a death.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Interesting movie, yes. But was this a great movie, no. Not even close to being perfect. Trog was perfect, he looked great,
the make up effects were wonderful. But as much as I admire Michael Gough, I really think we could have done without the
character of Sam Murdock who is some kind of anti-Trolodyte racist or something, they never really explained why he hated
this pre-historic man so much, would he so hateful if it was some primitive African man. So, 6 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I have to disagree with Zedd on this, the character issue really got in the way for me. The creature effects is somewhat
impressive but the Michael Gough character is very annoying and very unlikable. 2 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature effects are impressive.)
+ CAST (The cast does a good job of acting.)
+ STORY (The story basically works, if not stereotypical of the genre)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SERIOUS CHARACTER ISSUES (I think the plot could have done without Michael Gough's character.)
- WHAT'S UP WITH THAT (What was Sam Murdock's problem anyway? Did Trog kill his son or something.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you don't enjoy these kinds of movies, then you won't like that anyway.)
