THE PLOT:

The army lose communication with a communication shack in Antarctica. The last message reports of a madman attacking people, so a team has been sent to regain control, but Sam knows where he's going and is heading back to face his past and something ancient and evil lurking deep in the bowls of the building.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

This is the third installment of the series and I have to say the most disappointing. It's not horrible, the acting was good and the story works. But there are character issues and I really wish there was more creature effects like the first two movies had. So, all and all I would have to give it 7 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd, the characters and writing have been stronger in the other movies. But this does have some interesting points but I have to admit the storyline is getting old as well. Except for location there isn't much new in this one. 6 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CAST (The cast does a good job with what they were given.)
+ ATMOSPHERE (It looked like the frozen north.)
+ EFFECTS (Realistic gore effects.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (What little there were was impressive.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CHARACTER ISSUES (There are some unlikable characters in this.)
- STORYLINE (The whole someone returning to face the past is getting a tad old.)
- LACK OF CREATURES (ZEDD felt they could have had more creatures.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't a big fan of the first two movies, then you won't like this one.)
